I can teach from beginning level to advanced level, and any age 10 and up. You will need to have your own, quality flute. I am happy to adjust to your needs during your lessons, because everyone is different! We'll figure out what method book we need for you, and will also help you with your music with your ensembles (whether it is at your school, a youth ensemble, or anything else you need prepared).
I will help you with your embouchure, tone, intonation, technique, breathing, reading music, and your overall musicality. I will also help you to take care of your instrument. I can guide you through any auditions you may have, and any solo & ensemble events you may be involved with as well. And anything else with music that comes up, I'll be here for you!
My goal is that you show growth playing the flute and that hopefully you enjoy it as well. I will give you things to work on. I know that everyone has busy lives, and some weeks are busier than others, but practicing the things I give you will help you be so much more successful.
I do charge $35 for a half hour, or $60 for an hour (for more advanced students, if interested). Lessons would be weekly in my home. I will always look ahead at the calendar and plan ahead if there are any conflicts, and I ask you do the same. Then we will know the expense for the month, and if there will just be any missed days, or needed makeups ahead of time if there is room in the schedule. If I'm sick or the student is sick, or there is a last minute emergency, we can text as soon as we know we need to cancel. If I need to cancel, I will try to do a makeup for you, or give you a credit for the following month. If you cancel, you may have to still pay, depending on the circumstance, because I will still probably have that spot reserved for you, and won't be able to fill it. I will text you the price for the next month, and payment will be due the first lesson of the month. Cash every month would be the absolute easiest for me, but we can discuss what is easier for you if needed.
